Tommy Castro & The Painkillers – Stompin’ Ground

New Album Available on September 29 – New Release Sheet: On CD and 180g Yellow Vinyl - LP

Stompin’ Ground, the blazing new album from soul-blues rockers Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, will be available on CD and 180g vinyl on September 29th. Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Castro and the Painkillers – bassist Randy McDonald, keyboardist Michael Emerson and drummer Bowen Brown – have played hundreds of shows to thousands of music lovers, always leaving audiences screaming for more. All of Castro’s albums are filled with original blues, soul and West Coast rock. Each song on Stompin’ Ground shows a slightly different side of his multifaceted musical personality. Billboard says the band plays “irresistible contemporary blues-rock” with “street-level grit and soul.”

Upcoming Nationally Syndicated Radio:

  • Tommy Castro & The Painkillers will tape a special in-studio session and interview for SiriusXM Bluesville on October 16th.  Tommy and the band will discuss their upcoming release, Stompin’ Ground, as well as perform versions of songs live from the SiriusXM studios in Washington, DC.  This will air at a later date and have multiple rebroadcasts.  When I have confirmed airdates and times, I will let you know.  For additional info see
  • Tommy Castro & The Painkillers will be the special guests on WXPN’s very popular live radio broadcast, Free At Noon, from the stage of World Café Live in Philadelphia on Friday, October 13th. Free At Noon is filmed before an intimate live studio audience and airs live each Friday from Noon to 1 PM ET.
